These fun CARTOON LIONS make big and bold statements on any jumpers. The large 89st versions are designed as mirror images except for the tail of the rear view, so that they can be knitted by those whose machines will not do more than 60sts, by using the mirroring facility. The 60st views, also mirror images, are suitable where a smaller picture is desired. The 24st motifs can be used to complement either the 60st or 89st designs ( for instance on the sleeves) or by themselves in their own right on even smaller garments. Yellow is the obvious colour to use, on any dark background. Red or black are particularly successful, and Swiss darning of the eyes and the addition of sparkly buttons or beads adds to the appeal.
